WHY NOT QUALCOMM?
The Citizen’s Task Force advised the City of San Diego to pursue a new football stadium at the Qualcomm site. It also recommended that the Chargers must pay for 100 percent of the new stadium and assume all associated risks and cost overruns.
The Chargers embraced that recommendation, spending 4 years and millions of dollars to investigate the feasibility of the site. The Qualcomm site has been studied extensively and will not work because of political and financial instability in the City of San Diego.
