Chargers are making a mistake

"I've always believed that this can be a successful organization, and I believe the time is now", said Brees. "If I leave and go somewhere else and be very successful like I plan on doing, they have a lot to lose," Brees added. "I guess in a way, I've laid my butt on the line for them a lot in the last five years. There have been ups and downs, and I laid my butt on the line. I wish there was somebody there who would lay their butt on the line for me, besides the head coach and the players." Brees went on to add "Did A.J. draft me? No, did A.J. draft Philip? Enough said. "The Chargers have got issues that are beyond me."

F the Chargers...

Where's the Love??

Drew Brees gives back to the community! Can you believe this guy got us to the playoffs and is so down to earth that he continues to help children through the Brees Dream Foundation. It really sucks to do so much for an organization and for a community and get nothing back. The Chargers need to get the deal done today. Give Drew a one year deal to let him show that he has recovered from his surgery. Rivers is getting paid whether he sits on the bench or not. If the Bolts truly wanted Rivers to be the starter of the San Diego Chargers in 2006 he would have started him against Denver.

Nothing to Say

Payday for Brees

There is no way the Chargers are going to spend this kind of cash on Drew. I cannot believe with this many teams after Brees that they are even thinking about getting rid of him and getting NOTHING in return.

"I would not be surprised if the team that wins his services will put a six-year deal together for $46.8 million with $15 to $16 million guaranteed."
