In 1994 the San Diego Chargers made it to Super Bowl XXIX in Miami, Florida. This years team is on track for a repeat trip to South Florida to take care of some unfinished business. The talk of the town is a Chargers vs Cowboys showdown but we all know that we are pulling for Drew and the Saints. In the words of Bobby Ross going to Miami and losing to the 49ers "is not good for our football program." So what does Marty say about a trip to Miami?? W-W-W, We, Will Win!! One play at a time! Today I heard someone call the Giants and Eli Manning "the Raiders of the East Coast", which made me chuckle and think of this classic photo. And since we missed Faded Foto Friday this week, I thought I'd post it again. Nothing makes me happier than seeing Eli tank while the sports world talks up Rivers and the Chargers as the best team in the NFL. Of course, comparing our draft of LT vs. Atlanta's Vick gives me a warm fuzzy feeling as well.

DirectTV Sucks Ass

So I did a practice run of setting up the dish today to get fired up for next Sunday!!! I was also going to sign up for Sunday Ticket so that we can get all the games and Fred said all his crew would chip in to pay.

No dice.

Because of the lame ass NFL blackout rules, in order to receive Sunday Ticket programming, your DirectTV receiver must be connected to a land-based phone line. LAME.

I did however call Direct TV and I am getting an upgraded dish and receiver so that we will be able to at least receive the local channel games in HD. But I wont have those until the Baltimore game...

For us kids that want to play some video game football, what's the new game that all the kids are playing this season? Must be Madden 07, since it's the only officially NFL licensed game. But on what platform? 360 online... PSP anywhere and everywhere... or ol' school PS2? Damn, I haven't even cracked open my copy of Blitz yet.
